This lovely Seaham gray piece of sea glass is set in this unusual sterling silver with gold bezel setting. The gray piece is rated as 5 in rarity with 10 being the most rare according to a sea glass color chart that I have. I purposely set it in a gold bezel setting as I felt the warm color of the gold would look better against the gray of the sea glass.
 
Soon after starting my sea glass hunting journey about 20 years ago, I heard of Seaham as a beach that had unusual colored sea glass as well as multi colored pieces of sea glass there as there was a glass blowing factory that created gorgeous art blown glass as well as blowing glass for bottles. It's been on my bucket list for many years and we finally visited it in 2023.
 
The sea glass piece has been set with a setting that allows you to look at the piece of sea glass as an art object. The setting is a sterling silver bezel setting which was created in multiple steps and was torch soldered by me in my home studio. Additional polishing and burnishing is what gives this pendant additional shine as does the beaded detailing around the sea glass which has a patina to highlight its details.
 
The actual pendant measures 1 1/3 by 2/3 inches or 2.5 by  1.8 cm and it comes with a sterling silver 18 inch box chain necklace or it could also be the leather looking silicone one that measures 17 inches and which has a super easy connection.
